AYUUB has been providing protection service since its establishment in 1992, as protection for children and women is one of the fundamentals set up for the organization, AYUUB, through its permeant donor, UNICEF and DRC, has assisted thousands of children with component services of Psychosocial Support, Referral Pathways, Medical and GBV risks awareness throughout the past 25 years of the organization was in functional.

The rationale behind AYUUB establishment was to rescue the children and Women affected by the conflict and famine in 1992, since then, AYUUB rescued thousands of Somali Children and mothers through settling them in a village today called Ayuub, providing them with Healthcare, feeding, education services, protection and other necessaries for the life.

AYUUB particularly takes responsibility of the children under age by protecting and better practicing of their rights and improving their lives through helping them understand their rights and enabling them to become responsible members of the society.

AYUUB runs Orphan Care Project which encompasses of Two main boarding centers for Boys and Girls in Ayuub Center, Merka town provides the children with Feeding, Healthcare, Protection, Primary Education services and facilitating the learning fee and other necessaries for those in secondary level.
